CTAs should be obvious (from a design perspective) and compelling (from a copy perspective). Our best practice advice is to remove any clutter, too much text and/or secondary links that might cause someone to be confused and leave your page before converting.

Uber does an amazing job of highlighting the most difficult things about taking a traditional taxi, which also shows how its service is superior. The simple (yet highly effective) copy above, taken from the Uber homepage, excellently conveys the simplicity and ease that lies at the heart of what makes it such a tempting service:

  • Your driver knows exactly where to go

  • Payment is completely cashless
